Sure hope they change the law that requires breweries to close at 9PM.

Midtown/AA is becoming a mini brew district.

There are more coming, at least for downtown as a whole.

Some may not know much about Elk Valley, they're not as well known locally as Coop or Prairie. But, let me tell you, John makes some excellent beers. He's very well regarded in the "beer geek" community. Lately, his "brewery-only" release stuff has been selling out in a matter of hours (minutes in a couple of cases). This is great for both John and for Midtown.

Twisted Spike, EV, Prairie, Stonecloud, Anthem-ish... Are there others, Pete?

This is supposed to change when SQ792 goes into effect. For now, I believe breweries are required to operate under the same hours as liquor stores.

Yes. At least two more that I know of.

Fantastic news. Thank you. Can you divulge if they are established breweries or breweries-in-planning?

Pretty soon it will be quite possible to do a fun little brewery hopping tour in DT.

Wow this is so cool. I'm really excited the pivot proj dudes own the lot to the south. They have proven that they know what they are doing and I'm excited for whatever they decide to build there in the future.

I know one of the owners of Black Mesa and they are looking for a location in the Moore/Norman area.... I also suggested that maybe they look at the Farmer's Market area.

I don't think this is true. I know Twisted Spike is open on Sundays.

Do we think this will have the same resistance as the Hudson Park development? Yes, I know it doesn't have an entire outdoor area, but they will have rooftop areas.

    I doubt it.

It's a little more removed from the Sieber and the others doing most the complaining about Hudson Park.

I would guess that any brewery that isnt in a commercial like area would be looking to move to one, now with our new serving laws. Roughtail, Coop, even Anthem, which isnt far from downtown, should be looking at locations where people are more likely to come and have a glass.

Here are more detailed images of this project.

Notice in the last one, they show massing (placeholder) for the future building to the south. Also shows proposed underground parking.

    ^^^Wow!!!!^^^

Wanzer and company continuing to raise the bar for urban development in OKC. Absolutely love the proposed expansion to the street and putting the parking behind the building and underground. Even without the future addition though this project is still top-notch!

    They really do.

And usually with pretty conservative budgets. They are a great asset to OKC.

This area already has some great features, but this would help to really put it over the top. Very exciting.
