Another reason to move in here is that Page Woodson is within the coveted Rex Elementary guaranteed-admission boundary.

The prices are great for someone who makes above the income cap, but you must make below 28k/yr to live here. It seems to me that 675/mo for a one bed is far too expensive for folks in that range.

That's close to 29% of their income for rent, and general guidelines are no more than 25% of your income for rent/mortgage, so yeah, that's a bit out of line.

I've always heard 30% or one third. Seems right in line with that.

Great project! And nice to see such progress. Though I wonder if there is a need for that huge of a parking lot.. Seems like wasted space that could have been green.

They should hire someone to paint a mural on that retaining wall.

A coffee shop was supposed to go on that corner but I don't think that is happening any time soon.

The two residential homes on 6th have been demolished. Construction on the next phase will probably start soon!

Perhaps it is in this thread. But are the income requirements only for specific units/buildings? Or will this entire project be subject to those guidelines?

Pete, it is a slow go, but there are lots of new people including small families with kids. So the halls are sometimes filled with echoing laughter and running. Also, there are more events happening in the theater.

Are there floorplans of the school building that can be posted? Curious to see how the space was drawn out into apartments and layout.

Didn’t know where to put this but Pettis will be holding a forum about new development in the NE side including this development and several others.

Join Ward 7 Councilman John A. Pettis Jr. and a series of guest speakers March 27 for an informational community forum about economic development projects in northeast Oklahoma City.

The forum is 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1020 NE 42nd Street.

“This is a great opportunity for people in northeast Oklahoma City to learn about the exciting new projects that are coming to our community,” said Councilman Pettis. “These are the kinds of development projects we’ve been waiting for, and you can learn more about them from the developers and other leaders involved in making them happen.”

Development projects to be discussed include:

    Page Woodson
    Northeast Shopping Center
    NE 23rd Street clinic
    NE 23rd Street retail
MAPS 3 Senior Health and Wellness Center No. 3
    Girl Scouts project
    Northeast Renaissance TIF District
NE 23rd Street and Coltrane Road housing
NE 30th Street and Kelley Avenue housing
    Housing Authority at Northeast Duplex
    Housing Authority at Sooner Haven
    Dunbar project
    Truman project
    Douglass Park project
Everyone is invited to learn more about the projects at the informational meeting, which will begin and conclude with remarks by Councilman Pettis.

    Call (405) 297-2569 for details.

Are you sure that’s not just the ghosts there?

If those are ghosts they seem to be very happy and friendly!

Pete, there has been some movement at Kelley Ave. between 4th and 3rd. A ton of tree removal and they have cleaned up the area that looked like a small dumping site. Just a block east of Jewel Theatre. Do you know if there are any plans for this area out in the public yet? Thanks!

I know a lot of people here love this, but i cannot get over the "government project" feel to those grey buildings. I hope they keep this area well kept.
