Once it gets sodded I actually think it’d look nicer than what it did.

Pete, do you know if they are going to have to do a lot of Soil Contamination Remediation?

The space is much larger with no building now. But a grassy field will indeed look much better than the old building.

It will be a nice, large spread ready and available for a future development as the market dictates.

I didn't know there was a big balcony atop the tower.

I always figured their was a balcony there. I think at one point it had trees. I assumed that it was a private penthouse condo up there for gaylord family when they owned it.

Yeah that balcony is part of the Cameron Suite. The entire floor is Bills office.

Pete. any word on soil remediation that might need to be done to this land before they can do anything with it?

It doesn't look like they are doing that now, and you think it would be done in coordination with demolition.

I'd say if it doesn't start soon it probably isn't needed.

Honestly it looks much better now, and once the grass starts growing, will look even better.

The printing plant was a windowless concrete monolith.

One of the few times that nothing is better than what was there before.

I'm guessing that the printing plant was built in the 1970s, and soil issues had become important enough by then to make OPUBCO pay attention to not contaminating at a high level.

i hope so. but it's still a bit why i was surprised we hadn't seen any soil remediation... but very glad if they were forward thinking and never had any incidents... hopefully it's only a grass lot for a few years and then something is done with it. even if it's just to turn it into another green space park or something

The plant started production in 1985.
