An interesting quote from that article:
Clark, who was once told by California officials it would take years to clear zoning and code requirements for a proposed project, praises Oklahoma City for its desire to ease development in the urban core.
“What’s amazing in Oklahoma City that I’ve found is this incredible ‘We’re going to make it happen mentality’ of the community,” Clark said. “A lot of cities are saying, ‘How do we support it and pay for it?’”
What's especially interesting to me is that that is the CEO of Clayco saying that, as well as stuff like:
Makes me idly curious if this is the only block in the city that Clayco might be interested in developing.“What’s amazing in Oklahoma City that I’ve found is this incredible ‘We’re going to make it happen mentality’ of the community,” Clark said. “A lot of cities are saying, ‘How do we support it and pay for it?’”
Interestingly, the old Stage Center site is now completely clear just as the new plans are set to be revealed.

I guess this thread can officially move to the Nostalgia/Memories section.
Pete, what's the latest?
Awesome !
Residential towers proposed by two firms for property south of former Stage Center site | News OK
I'm grinning so hard my face hurts.
Sweet!
Just to clarify, there are two other threads to discuss the tower development.
This one should be left alone as it is now a demolished building. Perhaps Pete should now move this thread to the nostalgia and history section, it seems appropriate now.
I'm closing this thread for now.
