It's silly but it bothers me this isn't symmetrical.

Now open; stopped by on Saturday.
Sunbathers had better hope no cars go careening off the freeway.
Pretty cheap design. They should provide some sort of tall barrier with decorative vegetation. Shouldn’t be too hard to do in the future.
Every time I take the OKC Boulevard exit on SB I-235, I crack up at just how close they built this thing to that off ramp. So bizarre.
That pool would be in the shade most of the day. Almost seems pointless to put in a pool.
Such a beautiful hotel
It really sets the standard for modern architecture in Bricktown!
^
Was really trying to show it and the 3 hotels to the east on Reno.
The 2nd one will be opening soon and the 3rd is well underway.
Any word on what Dolese plans to do with that giant gravel pit?
.
Never seen any structure this close to an expressway in Oklahoma City with the exception of the U-Haul structure off I-40 old crosstown.
Staybridge Suites
Five floors, 131 rooms
This layout is embarrassing and another failure of the review committee. There's an obvious expectation that hotel guests will leave this hotel on foot and walk into Bricktown. Yet, there's literally no path for them aside from walking in car lanes or walking over curves. Is it so hard to create a contiguous sidewalk for pedestrians, particularly people with disabilities or diminished physical abilities? They literally have a sidewalk in front of the building that they decided not to continue. The sidewalk along Lincoln doesn't connect to anything that leads to the hotel. It also would have been nice to place trees between the sidewalk and Lincoln as a pedestrian buffer. Requiring a pedestrian path is such a low standard and this development didn't even meet that. What a joke.
I also wish it were more than just 5 floors, even it its current alignment. Would have given a high-rise feel to the otherwise boring interstate it nearly touches.
Oklahoma City, the RENAISSANCE CITY!
