Re: 1204 N. Hudson (formerly Arrive Hotel)

Agreed. It's often hard to read humor into words on a screen. I take no offense from keyboard warriors and hope no one takes offense from me. <shrug>

    Re: Lamp Post Lounge

I very much doubt that the building in which the old Lamp Post Lounge was located at Pennsylvania and NW 9th Street was historic. That general area is commercial and industrial.

    Re: Twisted Spike Brewery

I drove by the old Twisted Spike location yesterday and there is some activity going on there. Anyone know what's up with that?

    Re: Restaurant closings

No, but the location at Nortpark has a great bar area and seems to be the perfect space for them. The space in Midtown had a small bar area and a huge dining area that was never full. Just seemed...

    Re: Restaurant closings

Hacienda has really good food, but that space in Midtown was way too big for them. I was hoping they would move to Louie's after it shut down, but I guess I will just go back to eating at the...

The Hooters on Pennsylvania just south of the Kilpatrick Turnpike is closing or has already closed.

    Re: Concerts in Oklahoma City

I went to The Tower last night for Adam Ant and The English Beat. It was a great show. Ant's backing band was outstanding - 3 guitarists and 2 drummers, so a ton of bass. Dave Wakeling with the Beat...

Since the location on Memorial is also closed, do they even have a store in Oklahoma City any more?

Re: Alley North (Old Dolese Headquarters)

I believe they have invested so much in their current facility that moving from that is totally out of the question.

    Re: The Citizen

Oh, I agree with you in all respects regarding UMB! That bank was a horrible place to work, had a revolving door in the market president position, and generally sucked.

I assume you used to bank...

UMB occupies most of the 2nd floor of City Place, if I recall correctly. I worked there years ago and the bank used to have 15-20 people on their commercial team who officed there, as well as a trust...

    Re: Restaurant closings

I went there once with a buddy. We weren't impressed. They did a nice job renovating the space and a better operator might be able to make money there.
