    Re: County Jail

needs to be at the current location OR on the civic center campus. There is no need to build a 1 storey jail, make it efficient by building multi-floor. Just resolve the issues with the current...

Re: Oklahoma City, In the Press

but OKC isn't growing in it's rural areas in raw numbers like Tulsan's always try to say. OKC's growth is in the core and established areas NW, W, and SW. OKC has more opportunity in those areas but...

Can we ever utilize express bus (via freeways) for at least some of our transit infrastructure? Not everybody wants to...

wow, and I thought burger prices were ridiculous here in the PacNW. Ours might actually be lower than in OKC.

this sort of thing ALWAYS happens in the Eastside, because there never is anyone leading the efforts to improve that part of the city nor a master plan/vision. You always have competing interests...

Re: New Arena (formerly Prairie Surf)

OKC may be free but there is a structure on the site that needs to be removed. Probably not overall cost in OKC's favor by comparison; unless they can knock the myriad down by a few $10 million.

sounds to me like the agreement between the city and the team will very much open the likelyhood of the tunnel into Bricktown, connecting the district and arena via the enhanced Santa Fe station and...

no, I dont want us to limit ourselves to Omni. They had a chance to build something wonderful and chose purposefully to short sight OKC even when we handed them a significant TIF.

    Now, there's...

will be interesting to see if TNT/ESPN continue to ignore OKC's skyline during the games. I know we're not NY or Dallas with a huge skyline, but it'd be nice if they could broadcast current OKC...

Re: OKANA Resort & Indoor Waterpark

I feel its a missed opportunity that OKC hasn't so far embraced its culture. That's the we. Sure the nations are doing what they're doing, but OKC should. Other cities have 'something' about them,...

surprising that OKC doesn't have much if any Native American food restaurants. I truly wish we can turn the page and finally embrace the Native American heritage we have in Oklahoma instead of being...

    Re: Convention Center

This is a no-brainer to me. Keep up with the "Jones's" and raise the tax a little to still be lower than most cities in the region but get a big boost to promote OKC.

I just think once OKC has the stadium and the team back playing, that it would be fast tracked - kind of like a 'darling child' of sports if you will, in the way that OKC is now often mentioned in...

Re: Paycom Center (formerly Chesapeake Arena)
