    Re: Population Growth for OKC

I have nothing against Tulsa, love visiting there and OKC, have no dog in the hunt...but to characterize the growth of the two metropolitan areas as "literally the same" is simply untrue and looking...

    Re: Chesapeake empire marches on

You'd know better than me, but there are a ton of conference rooms, many quite large, and two auditoriums in there and the basement has no office space at all.

But if they're moving in there,...

    Re: Chesapeake Business Practices

Maybe so. But I'll stick by my guesstimate of OKC gaining 200-250. $400M in "synergies" won't all be from G&A cuts, obviously. It'll come from a combination of G&A, capital/operational...

    Re: Chesapeake empire marches on

I worked in Bldg 15 for many years in about 6 different offices. I can't imagine it would fit that many. But, maybe so.

    Re: Chesapeake Business Practices

    Agree 100%.

While huge numbers won't be transferred to OKC, they'll be very high paying jobs and will be a nice boost to the local economy. And, more than anything, it helps to stabilize "CHK's"...

    Re: Chesapeake Business Practices

Having worked at CHK for a number of years, it's a bit bittersweet to hear of the name change. But, it happens and glad it appears to be working out for the current employees here and for OKC at...

    Re: The Hub

Curious if anyone has heard any updates on this (and the Dolese property across the street, for that matter). Was in this area last week and it made me think of it. That stretch of Broadway sure...

    Re: OAK (formerly Penn Central)

I hear this a lot (on here) and not sure exactly what defines a "mess". Could it have been more? I suppose. Could it be a little "better" in places? Maybe. But statistically they are they most...

Re: Boardwalk at Bricktown / Dream Hotel

What’s the typical ft/floor for residential of this type? 13.5?

    Re: Population Growth for OKC

Thanks for the numbers. Holding that rate steady for the OKC metro until 2030 would show an increase of 10.73% from 2020 to 2030. That would be the lowest growth rate since 1930-1940 at 10.1%. Not...

    Re: OAK (formerly Penn Central)

Is the restaurant at the top? The description said the restaurant and bar were adjacent to the lobby, but the rendering looks as if it is at or near the top.

    Re: Rother Shrine

First off, cathedral is a grossly misused term. A cathedral is not an architectural style, which is how the term is commonly used, but actually refers to the church where the bishop (or Ordinary) of...

    Re: Rother Shrine

I hear you, but my sources at the Archdiocese have indicated there will be more tracery, other imagery, statues, etc. added to the main church in due time. Nothing over-the-top, but there are plans...

    Re: Rother Shrine

The plan is for the Shrine to have a pipe organ. There was some level of disappointment and consternation with the ceiling height and room for an organ, but it seems they have generally gotten past...
