Seriously. Is this really what conservativism has come to...insane, quasi-violent ramblings about leaving the USA to get away from the evil socialists? In that post Kerry purported to speak for all conservatives. I'd really like to hear from some of the others whether they actually support this.

uh, not meaning to be picky, but where did you get any notion from Kerry's (many) postings that he views the conservatives as leaving the country. Perhaps I misread, but it seems more like they shall band together on the high ground, and claim that which they desire to be theirs, and the left can go live where they can, if they can, without any assistance from the right, and may God have mercy on their doomed souls.

I'm sure Kerry will correct me if I've misrepresented, but i don't think I'm way off the trail here.

Also, you might want to note that I was specifically referring to junior level appointees. A "czar" ain't junior.

You'd think if they were competent, they'd give the guy an even harder look... but guess not.

No WAY would I leave! Standing my ground. The very notion of leaving to another country like a whiney baby strikes me as absurd.

That about sums it up Kevin, but it isn't quite that simple. Nothing happens in a vacuum and everything is the culmination of previous events. When the US defaults, and we will eventually, then we are going to revert to 50 states. When that happens, states will be free to establish new alliances. Some of those state might try to go it alone, others will adopt a strong central government and keep promoting socialism. Other states will band together under the banner of freedom and capitalism with a moral fiber rooted in Christianity. Where ever that place is I plan to move there ASAP. However, I think I already live an area that will adopt that style of government .

As for Civil War, I don't know anyone thinking along those lines. The break-up of America won't come at the hands weapons, it will happen because the federal government goes out of business. There won’t be anything to fight against, just states picking up the pieces. However, that doesn't mean those of us adopting capitalism are going to forget what liberals did to the country; which is why we will keep them out of our new one.

So, given that us evil libruls are present in all 50 states, what you're saying is that you would use the power of the state in your new utopia country to outlaw dissenting political opinions? Hey, you can even name your new Capitol "New Pyongyang". You can have it, because that would be an authoritarian-fascist state. I'll stick it out here in the USA with people who are still allowed to think for themselves.

See it is working all ready. Liberals would never be able to survive in a country founded in economic freedom and liberty because we won't have a federal government with the kind of taxing power the US government now has. We won't be able to fund a socialist state because the federal government won't be able to raise the funds necessary. The best way to kill liberalism is to cut off the food supply (i.e. tax dollars).

As for sore loser, not at all. We have been tanking for a long time. Obama is just getting us to the inevitable faster.
