There will be a rally featuring Senator Barack Obama in Oklahoma
City on Monday, March 19th.

The rally will begin at 4:30 pm and will be at the Farmers Public
Market Building (which is located at 311 South Klein Ave. in
Oklahoma City... which is just south of Reno Ave. and just west of
Western Ave.)

Tickets cost $25 dollars a person

I would love to go.

I understand this is just the fundraising stage of the campaign season, but honestly an admission cost to a rally? I'm not sure if I like it. I was under the impression that you go milk a million dollars out of donors at lunch and then go to a public rally for PR purposes, but that's just me.

SO, what type of rally? A party rally? It'd be a little awkward if it was a rally for.... say.... the NAACP Oklahoma chapter. No problem with that, just wouldn't want to be the only white person there.

Well, if it's any indication of what type of rally it will be, the email the annoucement came from was from the Oklahoma Democratic Party.

lol. Ok, I won't go then. I'm a republican. I am really interested in what he is bringing to the table though. Who's the guy that is on Law & Order that is about to join the G.O.P. race? Forgot his name, but I think he has a good chance, just because Americans are suckers for fame.

Don't let being a Republican hold you back. If you want to go, then go. I am sure there are other Repubs, just as interested as you are, that will be in attendance.

Yeah. After I wrote that I thought, that doesn't make much sense, seeing as how I will vote the way I want anyway. I want to be more politically active, and I would especially love to go to a rally like that. However, don't think I would take off of work for it. Speaking of work, I have an interview today for a cool job, someone wish me luck.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing Obama even though I probably won't vote for him. But that's ridiculous he's charging for a PR rally. He's all about raising the money early and any way he can though, he knows Hillary will be raising money easier. It will be a political stunt at best, telling the people what they want to hear. He may be young and inexperienced (can be good thing), but he's already falling into typical Washington politics.
