Default Poster fun

Thought this might be a little light-hearted fun (if people aren't too thin-skinned or averse to opposing viewpoints).
Go here and make up your own "de-motivational" poster using any image and text you'd like. Go on! Vent all those political frustrations!

For example:

My thought is that spending any time on "who is to blame" is really pretty pointless. No one could have foreseen that. Best to focus on how to avoid it in the future.

I think Bush is doing a decent job in some respects, and a piss poor job in other respects.

This isn't meant as a debate thread. Where's your poster?

LMFAO! Say what you will about the Bush-haters but, you have to admit they're great with the photoshop skills.

So much for light-heartedness. I should've known better.

Your original poster was hardly light-hearted -- a picture of the event that led to almost 3000 deaths. At least the subject of my poster was still alive. Perhaps it would be better for you to cast your judgmental glance toward your mirror.

Brad, I was looking for original stuff not regurgitated propaganda from the blame-America-first crowd, but whatever.

Nice one Centerback. I'll post it for ya.

Original stuff? Your "original" post reflected regurgitated propaganda for longer than any opposition to the Iraq quagmire.

Blame-America-first crowd? I don't know who that is. I don't blame America. I place the blame squarely where it belongs: the present leadership of this country. (Talk about regurgitated propaganda: "The blame-America-first crowd" has to rank as one of the top five most uttered phrases by the GOP propaganda machine -- i.e. Fox News, right-wing radio, GOP pundits and GOP politicians.)

Now that we've corrected the record, let's get back to the original thread topic:

HOTTCUTZ, Centerback,
You have to host your picture somewhere and link to the file. Hot-linking directly from the poster site won't work. I use Photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com) (it's free) There are others though. Google "free photo hosting" and you'll find plenty.

Brad,
Now you're unoriginal and childish. You know exactly what my term meant, don't play stupid. Your "vast right-wing conspiracy" jibber-jabber doesn't fly. Did you get that from DailyKOS or something?

Your little backhand digg with the "Defeat" poster is cute, but only makes you the smaller person. I'm very disappointed in you though I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. Of course, with a defeatist attitude like yours I may be interpreting it completely wrong.

Likewise.

I've heard it thrown around by right-wing parrots, but not one has been able to explain exactly who they are talking about. It was an honest question. But I suppose honest questions are "jibber jabber" to you.

I don't read DailyKOS and I'm not sure what sources would qualify as "or something".

With God as my witness, it was not a "backhand digg". It was sent to me by a family member, who happens to been a Republican and Bush supporter, so read into it what you want. My attempt at participating in more of the spirit you intended was obviously a mistake on my part to believe we could move beyond the political tit for tat. Who's the smaller person now?

If I was here for your approval, I would have left a long time ago.

You call it a defeatist attitude. I call it a dissenting attitude. But you are going to interpret things as you want, so there's nothing I can do about it.

On that note, I'll bow out since it's obvious you don't want me here.

This is the poster that HOTTCUTZ was trying to post. I tried to edit it into your post, HOTTCUTZ, but my edit button is not working for some reason....anyway, here you go.

I can attempt to draw you a rough verbal picture. The blame-America-first crowd to me means those that choose, either by their words or actions to highlight and criticize percieved failures in our people or government while downplaying our enemy's actions - i.e. terrorism, torture, Iraq war, Katrina, etc. ad nauseum. I'm not saying you personally did any or all of these, but it sure seems like the crowd you're associating yourself with these days. I hope that clears things up.

Well, oldamericacentury.org might qualify. You seem to be fond of them.

I believe you, but with our recent exchanges can you at least see how I might have mistaken your intent and taken it as a personal slight? I apologize for the accusation.

When it comes to politics, you're proably right. But my comment was in reaction to the poster which you've explained.

No, don't go away. I may have been a little harsh, but that's no reason to take your ball and go home. Feel free to post away here (as if you needed my permission). Truce? :surrender (at least in this thred)

GC, you're entitled to your opinion, but I wouldn't characterize it that way. Brad's been here a while in one form or another and although I may be wrong, I don't think he's the type to drop out over a disagreement with me. I think, like me, he gets tired of the same old arguments and there comes a point where you just don't want to do it anymore.
This thread wasn't meant to be an argument thread, but I'm as guilty as anyone else of derailing it so I think it's best to just let it be.

Just my $0.02.

Is every thread on this site a debate? I mean wasn't this one started for fun? I thought so, but like I have said many times I am legally blonde. I wonder if it is more of a guy thing to have a debate even over a fun little way to pass the time?

agreed. but, the republicans started this who's to blame stuff to cover the fact it happened on their watch. how soon did wtc #1 happen after Clinton took office? did you hear his administration blaming Bush #1 for it? if he did, I missed it.
