No, I think more Americans and maybe Oklahomans, as well, are coming to realize that our country is facing very dire problems seldom experienced so intensely in American history and see by voting for Obama that they will have the right to cast higher expectations upon him for effective leadership, over McCain, because Obama is a much younger, brighter and more vigorous man. With McCain as president, the late night TV comics will be all over him telling crude jokes about the limitations of being old. Such jokes may get laughs, but they will be far from reassuring for the rough times we're in.

By golly, we don't want that now, do we? All the more reason to vote for Obama, so the late night comics don't tell crude jokes about McCain. You make your master (Obama) proud.

Don't rely on polls.
Remember Gore was ahead at this stage of the race.
Most of the Obama supporters in here are not old enough or know history well enough to recall Dewey defeats Truman.

It's no surprise that Oklahoma would support the GOP candidate. I think 1964 was the last time OK voted for a Democrat.

The interesting thing is the polls say McCain is leading by double or tripple the lead over almost every other state that Mcain has a lead.

Alaska and Arizona arent supporting the McCain Palin ticket like OK is.

Texas McCain +12
Arizona +11
Arkansas +15
Louisiana +14
ALaska +17

Huh? The polls shifted that fast and that much in favor of McCain all within 24 hours?

McCain hasn't every been trailing in the states I listed. In case you hadn't noticed, this is the solidly "red" part of the country.

Nation wide, Quick slide toward palookaville. Down 1.5 points in the past 18 hours--that's a fast slide IMHO.

The question is why does Oklahoma support him double the rate of the other GOP strongholds around us and well in excess of McCain/Palin's home state?

Well, for now I'm tired of the president of my country being portrayed like he's a clueless idiot on the late night shows. But then I had better sense to vote for him in the first place.

I think I'll feel like partying when David Letterman must bring to an end his "Great Moments In Presidential Speeches" segment, no matter who wins the presidential election.

Who's David Letterman?

Hopefully Obama's media disciples can keep all his Acorn sponsored vote fraud from affecting his current standing in the polls.

Oklahoma is ultra conservative. Not everyone in the state is, but there is enough of a conservative base to move the polls considerably. The length of time it took to legalize tattoos and scratch off cards is an example of our deep religious and conservative voting history. Plenty of republican Oklahomans might not agree with all of McCain's ideas, but they know that they don't want someone like Obama in power. He is fairly forward thinking in a few ways. In some situations it's a 'Not Obama' vote. It didn't matter who was up against Obama for some of these people. He was at the disadvantage in this conservative state from the start.

His show, the Late Show, comes on at 10:35 PM on CBS, or TV 9 in Oklahoma City. He has probably been a late night show host longer than any of the others. His show is probably most famous for its funny top ten lists.

"I have to tell you, Sen. Obama is a decent person and a person you don't have to be scared of as president of the United States,"

John McCain, Oct. 10, 2008
