Default Government agency to "protect" citizens from Big Oil in bed with them... literally

Quote:
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- U.S. government employees received improper gifts from energy industry representatives, and engaged with them in illegal drug use and inappropriate sexual relations, according to a report issued Wednesday.
Disgusting... What an absolute waste of taxpayer dollars. Thousands of employees paid with our tax dollars to "protect" us making deals with our tax dollars... Makes my blood boil.

As with many other riduculously wasteful, bureaucratic and unconstitutional agencies, the Department of Interior should be dissolved.

Asinine.

This is interesting.

" House Minority Leader John Boehner, a Republican from Ohio and an advocate of easing drilling rules, said that in 2006, "our members on the Government Reform Committee were investigating this problem in the department."

"Our members of the last two years ... have been pushing [current] Chairman [Rep. Henry] Waxman to continue this investigation and to have hearings and he's refused to do it," Boehner said. Waxman is a Democrat from California."

There's been a mess going on over there for years. Remember this guy? As second in command at the interior, he was another fox minding the henhouse. Another example of Bush cronyism at the expense of the American people, he did 10 months of prison for his involvement with Jack Abramoff, which is probably the least of all the shitty things he's done.

J. Steven Griles - SourceWatch

Scares me that he was involved with anything concerning "conservation."

This has been the rule since the left took over in 2006. Nothing will be
accomplished.

And Oklahomans will still think it's vital to keep Republicans in power in Washington, D.C. Would someone please tell me what do Republicans have to do before Oklahomans will hold them accountable and vote them out? Like simply fail them in some way to uphold the 3 G's, meaning being pro God, pro Gun and anti Gay.

Would be nice to see more Okies voting based on who they think would be best rather than who they are told to vote for...Both know that won't ever happen though

This is a typical baseless leftist reply. By the way, who are they that supposedly
who tell people for whom to vote? I've never been told how to vote by anybody.

From listening to the rants of the great political minds of the left, i.e. Barbara
Streisand, Martin & Charlie Sheen, Matt Damon, Rosie O'Donnell, Micheal Moore,
etc... one couldn't help but believe that they tell the left for whom to vote.

Sadly, they rely upon a strict dogma of intolerance and hate.

I'm a moderate. I look at all sides of the issues and make a reasonable decision.

I don't understand it. Maybe it's related to a new story I'm unaware of.

Thanks friend!

I just realized that I'm wrong. There are instances that I've been told for
whom to vote.

Every election I receive phone calls, emails and snail mail telling me to vote
for a certain candidate and it's always, without fail, for the leftist. See, I'm a
member of the Musicians Union local 375. Being a member of a union I receive
emails, snail mail and phone calls telling who I better vote for, or else.

Seriously, I can't stand it. They honestly HATE anybody who will not vote for
the leftist who is running for office. I said HATE, and that's the way it is, period.

I've never received an email, snail mail or phone call, from the right, telling me for whom to vote.

Thinking intellectually means nothing. You must vote as a leftist.

It has nothing to do with who is the best candidate. It's always who is the leftist running for office.

It's probably because the Repubs don't want to waste money on Oklahoma voters...It's already guaranteed so they focus on non Bible Belt states

It's a courtroom sketch taken right before he was sentenced to 10 months in prison for his role in the Abramoff scandal.

The only way things like this will ever change is for us taxpayers to stand up and unite against the government crooks, and thats the only way. Few people are willing to do that, but are willing to complain. I for one, as I have said sooooooo many times am not one to sit around and keep my mouth shut, problem is there are few like me and those others that are willing to take control back of our soon to be once great country. Stand up or shut up.

Since you're one of the one's who goes above and beyond the usual "complainers" to take control back of our country, I'm assuming you're running for office of some sort?

Hell no, I hate politicians so why would I ever want to be in office. The point of my post was, as you must have missed it, was people, like yourself I assume, like to sit around and complain but nobody wants to step up to the plate and say anything about it. I have no problem speaking my mind.

You said you're one of the rare individuals who's stepping up to the plate to take back control of the country, unlike the average complainer. How so?

Well even though I sometimes wonder if it's worth the trouble I do send e mails to my congresspeople and I do in fact make phone calls to let them know what I am unhappy about, and really thats about all I can do. Whether or not they actually listen or read what I send I have no clue, but at least I try. It's like a job to me, you can either sit back and do nothing to improve your work or workplace or you can get up and do something, I choose to do something. I have worked my whole life and paid more and more taxes, so why should'nt I complain when I dont like the way my money is being spent?, and thats about all I can do within my legal rights.

Sean Hannity and his Stop Obama Express is pretty good at telling obedient Okies who they should vote for president or not vote for. Rush Limbaugh is pretty good at that, too. Surely, listening to AM radio is still very much alive and well with a lot of Okies.

When the energy folks said they favored increased "drilling", this is NOT what I thought they meant.

Wow, I never realized how much power Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh had over people (or is it just us Okies?). I learn something new everyday here.

I guess the same could be said about Okies who drink Kool Aid from Chris (spitball) Matthews and Keith Olblabbermouthman too, eh? By the way, is Obama still giving Chrissy a thrill up his leg?
