Thats my thoughts exactly.
I'm not claiming to know much about Andrew Rice, in fact, I wanted to start this thread to learn more about him. I simply think Jim Inhofe is an embarrassment to Oklahoma. His "greatest hoax" comment just shows an obvious disregard for science, and comparing the environmental movement to the Holocaust is just dumb. |

Inhofe isn't dumb but he is old and stale. The climate/environmental issue is more about his hatred for Gore than it is about science. I wouldn't give Inhofe credit for understanding the science or even caring to try. It's irrelevent to him because if Gore said the sun rises in the east, Inhofe would claim that also is the world's biggest myth.
But, Rice is Gay, according to Inhofe's horrid slandertisements so we can all rest easy voting him back to do nothing for Oklahoma besides being the Senate's grumpiest old white guy. That, and sporting the Senate's most natural looking wig. |

During my summer in DC a few years back, whenever I would tell people I met where I came from, the first thing they'd usually ask me is what's wrong with Inhofe, why we keep electing a nutjob to office, and so on. This is back when the GOP controlled both houses, and it was often a Republican partisan asking me. Pretty embarrassing. His office is incredibly hard to work with, per my conversations with staffers on both sides of the aisle. The climate change stuff is just par for the course. Inhofe is the Senate's version of Tom Delay. It seems his strategy for this campaign will be to simply run ads labeling the other guy a "librul", which I predict will be good enough for the sheeple around here to reelect him, in spite of his lousy record.

It is amazing to me how many political advertisements say absolutely nothing more than that, and that seems to be enough to get whoever elected.
Actually it is pretty amazing watching how a correctly timed political advertisement, especially a negative one, has a big effect on polling numbers. Who are these people who are deciding everything based on a 30-second TV spot and why are they voting? |

We have our Inhofe, Massachusetts has their Kennedy. It all balances out.

Bunty, Fallin is actually who I was quoting.
![]() GMWise...why should they do anything different? They can run a campaign with absolutely no substance and keep getting sent back. In Oklahoma...you can get elected to any office as long as you say you are for the defense of marriage, believe in the Christian God, honor traditional family values, and believe in a strong military. You can take a dump on the "sanctity" of marriage and life all you want with your continued strain of divorces, treat everyone who doesn't believe in your view of the world as trash, and have no problem sending kids to fight your holy war. |

My question, "Mr. Inhofe, for what reason is it that you don't promote your stances on various issues on your website? Is it because they are unpopular?" |

I would like to know the last time the old fart stepped foot into a wheat field for anything but a political commercial.[/QUOTE] I think the most true telling he has ever done is "the steady hands" one ,albeit just half of it, it takes steady hands to take the bribes. |

Not much better than "This guy is has been in DC for too long and is old...so you should vote for me." Woo hoo...that won me over. |

So we have no choice or hope but to keep on voting for the same senators and representatives because they do such a dandy good bang up job of voting in support of the religious right agenda? Just keep voting them back until they finally drop dead? And that's not brain dead at all, rather it's mighty damned brainy!

There was a blurb in this month's Esquire which mentioned that they considered Inhofe to be the worst member of Congress.
And yet he's probably going to win re-election here by a good ten-to-fifteen points. That makes me sad. We're all a bunch of dopes. |
