Just don't see how they can hold someone who is barely an adult (45 yrs old) responsible for actually going outside and putting food out...Or maybe she read somewhere that tree bark was actually nutritious for horses...Can't believe she was found guilty

A Norman woman was given a three-year deferred sentence Thursday, on a felony charge of cruelty to animals.
Ann ____ 45, was charged with the starving of three horses kept in a pen behind her home in the 5700 block of North Floyd Drive. Animal Welfare officers seized the horses Aug. 25. With no food, the horses were chewing the bark off trees, officers reported.
