I noticed a Tattoo shop in Bricktown, check the Bricktown forum on my post. Also there have been and still are several shops around the metro that practice

whoo hoo!

nah... just kidding... I don't think I like the permanence of that .. although when I was younger, I thought about it..

When I go on vacation, I get the hemp temp ones.. but I'm glad for OK that they are legal because it is better to get the revenue here and be safe and of course, being the last state to have them illegal is pretty embarassing in my opinion!

Where in the OKC area can one find the temporary tattoos? I know my wife would never have a "permanent" (using the term loosely; the tattoo guy who is charged with tattooing says tattoos are no longer permanent since they can be removed with today's lazers) tattoo put on, but she might try a temp one like seen on some ladies' backs down near the belt line.

LOL I forgot what I was going to say in paragraph 2. Maybe I will remember it later.

Oh! I just wanted to say that those tattoos where they are big and cover a lot of area are not my style (Kinda like the ones that could double as a shirt so to speak), but a meticulously-selected tattoo somewhat small in size might be ok. No! I do not have any tattoos, nor does my wife have any.

There's a place around 23rd and Penn that should provide those services.

They used to advertise on 95x when I was a highschooler and listened to that stuff.

Tattoos are not legal in Oklahoma. We are the only state in the U.S. that continues to outlaw it. There are some parlors/artists here who have found that the profits from tattooing outweigh the fines from doing so, but....the majority of Oklahomans who tattoo still take their business to Texas. (Yes, that's what I did a MILLION years ago when I was in college).

I'm lucky, though, that mine is on my hip....sometimes I even forget I have one!

They aren't legal in Oklahoma because they are permanent. But I belive some of the tattoo parlors have found a loop hole in the law. Tattoos can be surgically/laser removed so they are no longer permanent. They shouldn't have to pay the fine if they can effectively use this loop hole.

Hmm... maybe.... I haven't ever thought about it.

Just curious... why do you ask of an angel? Did you see my website or something? Or is it from my quote under my name?

If I ever did consider.. which I don't want one right now.. but if I ever did I would want to come up with a custom design so that it would be mine and not anyone elses.

That is the best way to go about it, Goddess, come up with your own design that means something to you. Even take pictures in with you and make changes to them to make them your own, thats what I did with mine so they are unique.

Sure thing! But it will probably be in 5 years or longer before I ever get the courage to do so... I hate pain and I fear needles.

Besides that my Uncle who had a kidney transplant about 9 years ago tells me all the time that if you have a tattoo that you can't get a transplant. I know that can't be true though.. I don't know why he says that...

I cant see where a tattoo could affect any kind of transplant, with all the people that have them thesedays I am sure someone, somewhere who received a kidney or liver has had some tattoos. But I dont know this for sure. Tattoos only go into your second layer of skin, they're not deep at all.I'll be looking forward to seeing yours...if ya get one. They really dont hurt, mine didnt. Well the only one that did is when she went around my arm under my arm pit, that was kinda tender there, but the rest just felt like a tiny scratch.

I can't see how they couldn't hurt. People say that all the time but I think after time goes by they forget what the pain was like.. But like I said I am a baby when it comes to any pain!

One kind of cool thing about a fresh tattoo also is, you can feel the outline of it for a couple weeks when you lightly rub your hand over it. If you get any just keep a light film of A&D ointment on it for a few days then wash with a non fragranced soap lightly for a few more days. Dont use any lotins with fragrance in them or any lotions with alchohol in them. BUT do what your artist says to do either way.

I also posted this question in the bricktown thread... Why in the world are tattoos illegal in OK? I don't even understand how this can be considered illegal.
