well see and i dont know if it needs to be changed completly but it does need to change how the employees do things def...and enforce the rules... i know this girl that told me her auntie is on dhs and only gets checked on like every six months and she knows when they come so she gets a job the week of and then quits.... go figure....must be nice..... and im def not racist but whites are becoming the minority and i just think american should make everything fair no more indian clinics no more anything to make up for something someone did 100 years ago.... make it fair to everyone a free clinic for people with no health insurance whats wrong with that?


Jebbicakes, if this happened, then where would all the Doctors receive their training?

I've heard about free clinics and things for people with indian blood in them. I think it is not right to puppy love those specific people and leave out the rest.

Native Americans weren't conquered, at least not the way a lot of people seem to think. The United States signed treaties with them. Stuff like the clinics are the United State's part of the deal. If they didn't want to do this, they should have just fought to the finish and gotten a full surrender. We have all heard about how the United States broke its word, over and over. I, for one, don't want to see us do it, again. Maybe it would have been better to just go for a complete surrender but the United States leaders at the time obviously thought this was better. Now, it is a question of honor. I don't like it, either, but I don't want to be considered an, er, Indian giver. No offense.

Most of the clinics you are speaking of are ran and funded by the induvidual tribes.

Ummm, medical care isn't free. You're suggesting socialized medicine, which I have no problem with, but it would lead to higher taxes for all.

And tribal healthcare is offered by Native American tribes and the IHS. The tribes are entitled to offer care to their own, just like the VA is entitled to offer care to just veterans.
