Default Non-compete

Recently myself and others were terminated from our place of employment. Our company was a California based company when all of us joined, however 3 years ago the company moved to OK. Since we all joined at different times, we all signed different non-compete agreements. My paperwork, signed in the state of CA, 9+ years ago, does not mention anything about not competing with the business after I am no longer an employee. Other people's paperwork defines that they cannot compete for at least 1 year and cannot take any customers from the business for at least 1 year.

So a couple questions, since we certainly do want to compete:
1. since the agreement was signed in CA, and site state code in some areas of the contract, is it relevant now that the company is OK based.
2. how much weight do non-compete agreements hold legally
3. the company legally changed it's name 2 years ago, since the non-compete was signed under the previous company's name, does that matter?
4. anyone know any good sites that list OK labor code?

Thanks

You're going to want to take those agreements to a lawyer.

I know this, courts & the law hate those agreements.

They'll look for any excuse to set one aside.

ex. too broad of a radius for not competing
