The English Language
Another thread reminded me of a couple of my favorite absurdities about the English language that almost beg for regional dialects to aid in communication -
food/good - both start and end with consonants, have like vowels in the middle rough/dough/cough - three that follow the example above. No wonder ESL scares so many people! |
