In this thread we write an odd fictional story.

I know we had a lot of fun with the word association game awhile back. I figured we would give writing a story a try. How it will work is you write a line or two then the next person will pick up from there. It does not have to make sense in fact be as bizarre as you like. Just keep it somewhat clean. No porn or expletives please.

On my drive to work this morning I noticed something unusual on the Lake Hefner Parkway.

It was something I had never seen before.

People were swerving to miss a duckbilled platypus in the road. Where did it come from?

[mranderson]

Then, they looked in the air and found flying , an upside down Boeing 777.

[Faith]

I pinched my arm, just to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

[Intrepid]

When I realized that I wasn't dreaming, I was suddenly aware that I was wearing pink PJs and purple bunny slippers.

[Karried]

In fact, instead of dreaming, I was having a horrible nightmare in which everyone I've ever known was staring and laughing at me. It was then I awoke and realized I was strapped down in a hospital bed.

The doctor told me I was schizo. Because I kept waking up in different places.

It was after this last nightmare occurence, that I started to work on my "escape plan" from the mental hospital.

Then I realized I would go home to my wife, so I decided to stay.

Besides, I enjoyed hanging out with some guy they called "Brownie."

One of his friends is No Knucles Nunzio, the head of the Oklahoma City Mafia.

Just so happens that Nunzio's "front" business is managing Arabian horse shows.

He rips them off the New York Mafia so they will lose the shows.

That's why the New York Mafia got into the platypus smuggling business.

But in the back of my mind, I kept trying to unravel the mystery of how that platypus ended up in the middle of Lake Hefner Parkway.

I then learned it was the one who stole the horses, which caused no knuckles to order a hit... Then he flattened him... On the freeway.

On a related note, Veronica Balboa, the noted Platypus trainer had come up missing two days prior to the hit. Coincidence? I don't think so.

She was found wearing a cement overcoat in Lake Hefner because she refused to pay for scraping the Platypus off the road. The Platypus had been billed by a Duck for his services, and the Duck was part of the Oklahoma City Mafia.

Wait a minute! What would a platypus be doing using a Duck's services? And didn't Veronica Balboa break off an engagement with the Duck when her ex-boyfriend Rocky found out? I think it's time I hired a Duck for his services to find out what his motive might be.

Rocky was a Racoon and the Duck was a bit Daffy, so Rocky had No Knuckles put a hit on them.
