I wonder How a Hard Rock Cafe would do in Bricktown? A nice building on the canal would be neat. I have been to the one in Dallas several times and had a blast each time. Can you just see the T-shirts "Hard Rock Cafe Oklahoma City Bricktown" with the word "Bricktown" spelled with little bricks.

There's nothing special about those restaurants, IMO. Bricktown needs to quit copying other entertainment districts, and create its own following. I prefer local restaurants over chain restaurants any day of the week. That's what makes an area unique.

Hard Rock has reportedly been talking to the Tulsa mayor's office about a hotel site next to the BOk Center in downtown and also talking to the Creek Nation about a casino/hotel site in the Brady District in the northern part of downtown.
The mayor has also been talking to Hammond hotels, my guess would be a Hammonds hotel next to the BOk center and a Hard Rock Casino-Hotel in the Brady District. |

Maybe some inventive entrepreneur will start a "Hard Country Cafe" if you will, and decide to put the first location in Bricktown... Though I can't see them choosing OKC over counrty mecca Nashville, except that Nashville already has a Hard Rock.
