Default Hard Rock Cafe?

I wonder How a Hard Rock Cafe would do in Bricktown? A nice building on the canal would be neat. I have been to the one in Dallas several times and had a blast each time. Can you just see the T-shirts "Hard Rock Cafe Oklahoma City Bricktown" with the word "Bricktown" spelled with little bricks.

I'm thinking the Hard Rock is passed its prime (except the Vegas hotel). Anything that's done well would be welcomed, but i don't think they're that big of a deal anymore.

There's nothing special about those restaurants, IMO. Bricktown needs to quit copying other entertainment districts, and create its own following. I prefer local restaurants over chain restaurants any day of the week. That's what makes an area unique.

As long as we have cruddy Residence Inn and chains of that nature being built in Bricktown, it'll be a substandard entertainment district. I don't think Hard Rock would go there.

Hard Rock has reportedly been talking to the Tulsa mayor's office about a hotel site next to the BOk Center in downtown and also talking to the Creek Nation about a casino/hotel site in the Brady District in the northern part of downtown.

The mayor has also been talking to Hammond hotels, my guess would be a Hammonds hotel next to the BOk center and a Hard Rock Casino-Hotel in the Brady District.

I could see a few hotels around the BOK center. Wouldn't be surprised at all.

Although I wouldn't want to see a Hard Rock in Bricktown, a Hard Rock in the Brady District may just be the spark that the area needs!

But, I will say, I've spoken with Hard Rock officials and they've said they're through expanding in the US market. They're focusing on their international expansion.

Maybe some inventive entrepreneur will start a "Hard Country Cafe" if you will, and decide to put the first location in Bricktown... Though I can't see them choosing OKC over counrty mecca Nashville, except that Nashville already has a Hard Rock.

I'm thinking Toby Keith's is pretty similar to that.

Toby Keiths is better than any Hard Rock I've ever been to.

By far.

We should open up an OKCtalk Cafe... haha.. o.k., so I wasn't born with too much creativity running through my veins, but it would be unique!

Better yet, we could each have a recipt (sp) on the menu. Such as Mr. Anderson's ward five vegetable soup.
