Says there will be concurrent 7PM (OK time) news conferences; one in Seattle, the other in OKC.

Bet the local news will carry the OKC version.

I am surprised at the $75 million figure. I would have expected something in the $50-60 range, since that is what Clay thought he would lose up there the next 2 years.

From the Seattle Times:

"The Supersonics will bid Seattle farewell as part of a settlement with the city, according to a City Hall source. In exchange, the city would receive up to $75 million — less if the city gets another NBA team."

My apologies on posting info that has already been posted. I my page didn't refresh like I thought it had.

The big question is what will the team be called? You need a name to start selling tickets and such. So far he hasn't mentioned it.

I think the name will be Storm. If you go to supersonics.com and click on the ticket information it takes you to secure.sonics-storm.com.

Championship trophy and banners will stay in Seattle but duplicates will be made for OKC.

Storm would make for a good intro, with all the lights off and make storm sounds as they run out, but Storm is a WNBA team and I think a female gladiator name... Might be hard to break the connection.

Ok Can someone help me with this? I thought the judge would post something at 6 or 7 but we got this at that time. So we still do not know if they will be here in 1, 2, or 3 years do we?

man...you know it didn't have to be this way this is the same outcome that most of us on this forum predicted, and at no point was it feasible that they were going to retain there team. The bennett group had been saying let us out of the least yall can keep the logos, banners, and history(the only franchise that gave yall city a title) what do yall want money? We will pay the money. Oh yall are hurt yall wanna drag it out... and for what pride ?

Seattle will go down in textbooks about how not to negotiate.

1. The judge did not release a verdict because it was settled.

2. The team will play here this fall. Name and colors TBD.

And the rest:

3. PBC pays Seattle $45 million now, and another $30 million in 5 years if:

- WA legislature approves funding for a new or remodeled arena next session
- and Seattle has not gotten another team by that point.

4. This means if the legislature can't get their act together, or if they have a team by 2013, PBC does not owe the additional $30 mil.

5. Name and colors are still PBC property but will be "reserved" for Seattle in the event they get a team.

6. The history as well as actual trophy and banners will stay in Seattle but OKC will share the history and have duplicates of the trophies and banners.

7. The team begins moving tomorrow.

8. A hotline has been set up for those requesting tickets.

9. Still no location set for the practice facility.

10. PBC has been watching the media and internet discussion to consider all suggested names.

Picture this for a moment....

Imagine it's 10 years back....

Remember where you were; remember the state of the city.....

What would you have said if somebody told you that in 10 years, OKC would have it's own NBA team?

What would you have said if that person told you that a press conference would be called to broadcast the good news, soon to be replayed all throughout the state on every news channel?

What would you have said if that person told you that said press conference would be held in, of all places --- THE SKIRVIN?!

Think about that, and it can make you a little misty thinking about how far this city has come in such a short time....

God Bless MAPS; God Bless the Leadership of OKC; God Bless the people of this great city; God Bless PBC for having such vision and not sitting on their laurels; God Bless the Hornets for allowing OKC a chance to show the entire nation that we can be an NBA city; and so on and so on for eternity.

This is a terrific day for OKC.

I hope everyone feels the same pride that is rushing through my veins right now.
