Very interesting. I don't know why, but for some reason that reminds me of the Zebra Room in the bottom of the Civic Center.

cool article... i always thought some of that stuff was added later. guess not!

i'm gonna throw around a couple questions regarding the 'horseshoe' part of the building... i've heard that portion was once open-air, being just a roof over a bunch of stalls. is this true? also, the southern part of that 'horseshoe' is gone... i've heard it was to fire. if that's true, any idea when?

If I remember correctly, the upstairs severed as a rollerskating rink. The boxing matches were also upstairs.......

Yes sir.

A few years ago they held "cage fighting" events there. When i heard someone say that they were going to the fights at the Market, I thought they were talking about boxing matches.
