Default Best Chili in town?

Does anyone have an opinion as to where to get the best bowl of chili in OKC? (And I like mine spicy!)

I've tried many a thing at Iron Star(r), but never their chili.

For some reason, chili is just not one of those things I order when I go out. Guess it harkens to the age-old idea that "no one makes it like mom." She rarely makes it these days, but darn it if I don't got her recipe! Lots of garlic, pepper, chili, and just a hint of somethin' special!! With hot jalepeno cheese cornbread, there's nothing better to warm up a cold, windy night!

Mmmm. Mmmm. Mmmm.

It's excellent.

-- and horrible for you. I think they put sausage in it.

interesting... so are we talking barbecued brisket or brisket that has been cubed and simmered? just curious.

i made a large batch of chili (large to me, at least!) over the weekend for a party and opted to use ground beef, ground pork and cubed sirloin.

Really? At any rate. It's excellent stuff. Great on a cold day.

Thanks. The brisket is smoked and chopped; just like on the chopped brisket sandwich.

Brisket in chili? Who'd a thunk it? I must go to Iron Star and have my way with it!

I agree. My sister has our family recipe and there is nothing I like better. I would recommend my sister to anyone craving a good bowl of chili. Her number is....

Yesterday I tried the chili at Irma's, and was quite impressed. Nothing fancy, but very flavorful. Good straightforward comfort food.

Johnnie's chili is pretty good. Haven't gotten a bowl by itself ever, but I'll sometimes get the #13 (chili & cheese frank).
