Most of your buffet places are always open Thanksgiving Day (Fire Mountain, Furr's, Golden Corral, Hometown Buffet). There is also a decent restaurant in the Crowne Plaza Hotel on NW Expressway and May that has a Thanksgiving Buffet. Nikz used to have one as well, however they are now closed and opening up a steakhouse on Memorial Rd. Usually the Gazette is a good source of information on what restaurants are open for Thanksgiving Day as well as places that pre-cook meals for the holiday.

TGI Friday's is open. I think Chili's would be as well. Of course, I'll be at neither of those places, because I am travelling to see my parents and family in St. Louis. We're doing the same thing we did last year... Sam's Steakhouse. YUMMY!!!

I'll be in South Carolina, Myrtle Beach this year.. but if I were home, I'd definitely hit up Mimi's or something similar.
The last few years, I've cooked the full turkey feast ( I swear by brining) but I'm feeling that the only really great thing about slaving over a stove for 12 hours ( beside watching the family scarf it all down in three minutes flat) is leftovers. OhGawdtheSmell, if I were here, I'd drag you along with us... I hate to think of you alone!
