Default old Harry Bear's NW Expressway location

Does anyone know what is going in here? It was recently painted white and blue on the exterior and looks like sufficient remodeling has taken place. This is fairly recent work.

No, I seriously doubt it's an IHOP, there is one a mile and a half west almost to Council and another about 2 miles east at Belle Isle. I imagine it will be a local restaurant concept.

I think it is about to be a pawn shop.

I regularly read the land sale transactions listed in the Oklahoman. I could have sworn the buyer was listed as Fast Cash Pawn. I could be wrong.

I'll so miss Harry Bear's fried cheese and honey mustard...

I know there's a Harry's in Yukon and Moore but it's not as close as that one...

Orange Knight, I miss Harry Bear's fried peaches and special sauce. Mmmmmm. I'll have to trek over to Moore or Yukon before those stores vanish too.

Yeah, I get them at the Arts Festival. For some reason they are not as good there. Perhaps because it is partially run by volunteers?

I work across the street and I've been wondering about what's going on for several months now.

The pawn shop theory may be right, as I saw them hauling out all the kitchen equipment a few weeks ago.

I sure hope it's not a pawn shop, but sadly I can see that being a reality too. That would sure tarnish that area and probably only cause further blight to the surrounding restaurants. I'm sure it will stay busy with the area just SW of there with the Woodlake, Lyrewood and other apartments just off of Wilshire.

A pawn shop really doesn't belong next to Joe's Crab Shack. It's a nice intersection. It will look very out of place.

According to the county assessors website, Fast Cash Pawn LLC is the owner of that property.

Leonard Sullivan Oklahoma County Assessor Real Property Detail Sheet

I think it is safe to say that a pawn shop will be open soon. Unless Fast Cash Pawn is going in to the restaurant business.

When I drove by there yesterday I noticed it looks pretty pawn shoppy.
