The national winners will be recognized at EPA’s 10th Annual Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools Symposium in Washington, DC, during a special luncheon awards ceremony on January 15, 2010.
For the 2010 contest, there was a total of 2,862 posters from 36 States, one U.S. Territory, and seven Tribal Nations. They came from192 schools/organizations and 24 home schools! This represents an impressive increase since 2007, thanks to the efforts of the National Safety Council and other radon program partners.
National Radon Program Services at Kansas State University and the National Safety Council (NSC) jointly sponsored the 2010 contest in partnership with EPA. Kansas State University (K-State) will assume complete responsibility for the 2011 contest.
