  • More condos proposed for Midtown

An Edmond home builder has partnered with investors / developers Brent Irish and Shyon Keoppel to propose (3) 3-level condos near Saint Anthony Hospital.

Under the name Elite Urban Homes, Irish and Keoppel bought the tiny .08 acre lot at 908 N. Shartel for $135,000 in November of last year.

Castlerock Homes of Edmond would be the builder.

Plans submitted to the Urban Design Commission show 3 townhomes built to the edge of each property line.

The exterior would be a combination of brick, manufactured stone, metal and fiber cement panels.

The design committee will review the plans in its March 22nd meeting.

The city planning staff has recommended denying the application for non-compliance to downtown guidelines in regards to lack of back-out distance for garages fronting the the alley to the north, that is is out of scale and character with adjacent use, lack of conforming building materials and front-facing garages.

Planning staff recommendations are not binding.

The project is adjacent to the Lisbon Lofts condominiums, which were completed in 2015 and largely sold out in advance.

It also joins the growing number of proposed for-sale projects in the urban core, as prices per square foot continue to rise in response to strong demand.
