• Historic downtown warehouse being demolished for parking lot

In 2015 a historic warehouse building directly north of the county jail sold to a Norman investor who shared plans to develop a parking lot on the site.

The Downtown Design Review Committee approved the demolition last year, then later approved the surface parking lot.

These photos were taken on Sunday, as the demolition is well underway.

The building was in usable condition before the demolition.

The 38,000 square foot structure was built in 1929.
