  • Renovation of old Journal Record building finally moving forward

The owners of the Journal Record building -- rechristened The Heritage -- have formally applied to the Downtown Design Review Committee for renovation plans which include restoring the original front entrance and adding a new glass penthouse.

An article in the Oklahoman said that Renzi Stone's PR firm will occupy the new top floor: LINK

The original plans had also called for a new parking garage owned by the same group on the east side of Robinson, and although there was no mention of it in this application, an outline can been seen on the site plan.

City Council recently approved a $4.75 million grant of TIF funds for this project. Work should commence soon.
