Athletic outfitter Fit Circle and Mode Fashion have both signed leases and are preparing to open in about a month.
Fit Circle has an existing location at Covell and Kelly in Edmond. Owner Tom Connell said their latest store will be smaller but offer many of the same items and have the same approach as it's larger brother.
The store will be located directly north of Louie's Grill & Bar.
Products include gear for action sports and camping, men's and women's clothing and sporting accessories such as watches and other items. Featured brands include Oakley, Go Pro, Kuhl and Nixon.
Mode Fashion represents he fulfillment of a life-long dream for owner Amanda Hurney who studied fashion at the University of Oklahoma, spent some time as a buyer for a women's clothing store and interned at Nordstrom's.
Mode will offer women's clothing, shoes and accessories for women of all ages. Hurney says a mother and an adult daughter can be fully outfitted , from head to toe from shoes to jewelry to blouses, pants and skirts.
There will also be some gift items and all prices are set to be reasonable.
Mode will be located in the middle spot of the renovated building.
There have been talks with a local coffee shop for the third space at the north end of the building.
Fit Circle and Mode Fashion will join other retailers in the immediate area including Black Scintilla, Trade Men's Ware, Chirps & Cheers, as Walker Avenue continues to become the core of Midtown.
