Sadly, I had to watch it at my mother's house. Her tv... 27inch compare to my 50inch.

OU did good, but it seem that they let up too soon during 2nd half with confidence that TCU will never catch up.

OU is now AP #1. Almost time for that BCS release. I can see why BCS wait until midway; ranked teams losing everywhere.

OSU is lookin frightning this year...

What's up with Sam? He hurt a team mate with his helmet and not even willing to check up on that guy. He just walked off the field for a drink.

I don't care what team would have played TCU today, they would have had trouble running the ball. OU did get real conservative in the play calling, but when a defense puts 9 men in the box, and blitzes over and over again, it's going to be difficult to run against them.

OU showed they deserved to be #1 today. I'll be anxious to see how many first place votes they get.

As for Sam walking over to the sideline...I'm sure they are trained to do that. It's like getting a free timeout to talk to the coach. I'm sure he was concerned about his teammate, but in reality there's not much he can do for him.

our defense is gonna get tested on saturday. when this coach was at houston they had a tough time with him in 2004.
however, our guys don't seem to be getting big heads and don't seem to be looking forward to texas. on the other hand... i read where baylor was talking a little smack, i hope that fires our boys up!

if by tough time you meant held them to 4.8 yards per pass attempt and 1.6 yards per rush attempt and won 63 to 13 then you are right

I know this isn't official but in the USA Todays Tuesday paper they had the Jeff Sagarin ratings which lists team rating, schedule strength and "unofficial BCS rankings which rely on the ELO_Chess model. If thats correct then the BCS if released today would read:

1. Alabama
2. Utah.....
3. Lsu
4. Boise state.......your kidding me right?
5. Oklahoma
6. USC
7. Vanderbilt
8. Georgia

Heres a link to the poll: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagar...terstitialskip

The ELO_Chess looks like total BS to me, but its early and alot will change. The Sagarin page also admits that the ELO_Chess goes simply by wins and losses. Not point margin, home-away games or any other factors involved.

Dark clouds among us.

Personally, I think the BCS should consider the win/loss, points margin, yellow flag penalties, time between touchdowns, turnovers, and whatever else.

Still way too many games to worry much about the rankings.

I will be in Waco tomorrow for the game, about a 1.5 hour drive for me.

waco is around 288 miles south of okc. let's be generous and say it'll take you 2 hours... that means you'd average 144mph.

If I recall correctly from other threads, I think bluedogok is from Austin.

And for all of infinity, no-one has ever, or will ever speed to get to Waco.

what i meant is exactly what brent v and company said... they had a tough time with houston and (jokingly) asked bob not to schedule houston again.

I live in South Austin as edcrunk posted. I moved down here in 2003 from OKC, I lived 37 of my almost 45 years in OKC and my family still lives there.

I had some "other" things come up and couldn't make a morning kickoff so I am watching it now. If it would have been a later kick I could have made it, I didn't want to get there 30 minutes into the game after driving 100 miles to get there.

ok, ok... that makes sense. you get off this time. : )

as an ou alum, i'm ashamed to say this... austin would be at the top of my list if i were to move away from okc. from what i've experienced, it's a great city.

as for today's game... i was pleased to see some improvement in our place-kicking... nice to see some touchbacks for a change.

Interestingly, OU is 10 points shy of being the first program to reach 30,000 points.

Other than my first 6 months in Altus and the 2 years I lived in Dallas (91-93) I lived in OKC my entire life until I moved down here to get married (she's a Texas Tech grad so we have the common disdain of orange, whether burnt or safety). My wife's job is a bit more specialized and I figured finding an architecture job would be a little bit easier for me than finding her type of job in OKC. Finding one was a bit more difficult at first so I worked for my old firm in Dallas for 4 months. They wanted us to move up there but after a few weeks I knew that I had no desire to move back to Dallas.

I like it here, except for the heat this year, we have been looking at land in Lago Vista on the north side of Lake Travis. The Hill Country has some very nice motorcycle riding areas. As far as UT being here, I rarely get by the campus and most of the people in Austin anymore has no connection to the university. Austin is no longer a "college town", it is a city with a college in it. Sure you see a bunch of orange around here but the Whorn fans here are not near as bad as I faced living in Dallas. It seems they further they get away from here, the worse they get. The other places that I would consider moving to are Denver or Boston, ther eis just something that I like about both.

From what I heard it was pretty windy there today and I know it was down here as well. That seemed to help but the coverage seemed to be much better overall.

Has anyone else noticed that there just seems to be more passion in this years team that has been missing for awhile?

I was surprised how much tougher the Baylors had gotten, but the result still brought another win for the Sooners.

One thing that I am unhappy with bad decision making is at the very end, the Sooners failed to kick for a 3 points field goal to boost the score over 50. They decided to go for a touchdown and failed.

Hazel, #15, is downright horrible. Sorry, I just hope that Sam don't get another wicked concussion injury.

It looks like Texas won't lose aganist Colorado, so OU will get the pleasure of being the first to shatter Texas' this year's dream.

That is the best looking Baylor team that I have seen in a long time, I think Briles could make them into a competitive program.

Most of the Whorns that I know are expecting a loss...I don't expect it to be easy, although I would love it if it is.

i think we'll catch them off guard (like we have most everyone else) in the first quarter with our no huddle... but i expect them to stay competitive til the end. i'm expecting (or more accurately... hoping for) an exciting game... all the games so far have been kinda boring.

anyone else not as impressed with the sec this year? i would be willing to bet that it could be number 1 vs number 2 in the big 12 championship this year.
