This is excellent news for Oklahoma...and for Okla. City. This is the kind of publicity that we need.
Two schools rank in top 100 By The Associated Press: Two Oklahoma high schools are ranked among the top 100 in the nation by Newsweek Magazine. Classen School for Advance Studies in Oklahoma City is ranked 17th and Booker T. Washington in Tulsa is ranked 83rd. The list is based on the number of advanced placement tests taken by students then compared to the number of graduates. Newsweek says the formula helps measure how committed the school is to helping students take college-level courses and giving those students an edge. |

Classen is initiated an AP program this year, and I heard they're trying to expand it next year. Also I don't think that AP testing is just limited to people who took an AP course, and I assume that Classen probably encourages people taking IB courses to also take the AP test for that subject.
