Okay Midtowner, I see your point.
Obviously, OU has the better football program and a better tradition. Of course I favor OU since I'm a student there. But, obviously, if you're interested in agriculture, horticulture, vetrinary medicine, or something like that, OSU is a better choice. |

Nice fight song, cool football helmets, questionable admissions policies, sub-par athletics. I'm not sure how much there is to like about UM. They couldn't even beat Texas. |

Well, OSU also has a very impressive engineering school. I think both schools have impressive medical schools, but OSU has a lead there. OSU also has a renowned architecture school. OSU also has the better basketball program, the nation's best basketball stadium (You gotta see Gallagher Iba! CBS Sportsline says it's the best even!) and the nation's best wrestling tradition. Hillbilly sport? Yes, but they have a hall of fame out of it. I would say OU for sure, but Stillwater is the better college town.

Besides, what does a Union have to do with the overall quality of the medical school? It doesn't. |

Okay, I think I need to clarify some things here......
In our more recent discussion, we were discussing OU vs. OSU medical schools, not the schools as a whole. You stated in a previous post that OSU Medical School had an edge over OU Medical School. That was laughable because it's so far from the truth. Just FYI, OSU Medical School is not an MD allopathic medicine school like most. No, instead, it's a DO (Doctor of Osteopathy) School. Sure, both are physicians and DO's aren't any less physicians than MD's. But,t here's still a difference. Thus, OSU Medical School IS a DO school. OSU Medical School (DO) is not located north of downtown Tulsa. You're thinking of OSU-Tulsa. Actually, the OSU Health Sciences Complex is located south of downtown on W. 17th St. right off I-44. The campus consists of 1 building, with classroom space and a few offices. There's not much to the campus. No union. No cafetaria. Nothing of that magnitude. Comparing OUHSC to OSU Medical (DO) School is like comparing a sprawling city to a small rurual town. They're simply not comparable. OUHSC, by far, isn't one of the top 10 medical schools in the country, but it's far better than the OSU Medical School (DO). OSU Medical School gets all of the rejects from OU. Okay, hope that clarifies everything. |
