Wow, I am really "un-earthing" this thread. Along the lines of OSU Med students being OU's rejects... I'm not following. I have NO loyalty to either university, so I am truly curious. BOTH universities have the EXACT same requirements to get into the medical program. MCAT score of at least 7.0 and minimum GPA of 3.0. Can someone explain how OU has a far superior pool of students in this regard?

DO's are the Homer Simpsons of Medicine!
Oh, Joe and Tom, if you're members, yes, this is me, and yes, I'm still the smart arse I was as a kid. Thanks for everything you did when I was growing up. Now, go hug Marge and don't have a cow.

OU is recognized in every national ranking I have ever seen as being superior to OSU in academics, whether it be quality of faculty, quality of students, or nationally recognized programs. Indeed OSU and Texas Tech are widely regarded as the academic laggards among Big 12 conference schools.

Doubt it.
But really, the only programs I care much about is the Architecture programs. No ranking systems exist, but OSU's program is generally regarded as one of the best in the nation. OU's program nearly lost its accreditation a few years ago. |
