Default new construction in Bricktown??

Okay so I was driving in Bricktown today and noticed an addition going on to the west side of the Wells-Fargo building. Basically the west wall of where Drinkz is and the new extension is extending out into that pay parking lot sitting on the corner. Just curious if anyone knew what this was.

It is a personal garage for Dr. Hickman, who he owns the parking lot in which the building sits.

That's crazy. I don't think the garage fits in with the building. Why can't he park in his parking lot.

What's the deal on the gigantic pile of dirt west of I-235 but south of where The Hill is being erected, it's almost directly across the street from the Shell station. The mound of red dirt keeps getting bigger and bigger and there's just one bull dozer on the mound?

This mound of dirt will be part of the new I-40 interchange.

i thought of this but considered the mound of dirt to be too far north to be part of the interchance, the new I-40 will be constructed one mile south of the current interchange.

That is where the new I-40 will merge back into its old location just before the I-235/35 junction.

It's still got to merge with the current I-40 at that interchange.

That dirt is all the dirt that they removed from 'the hill' in Deep Deuce, making 'The Hill' development not much of a hill... I don't think that pile has anything to do with the I-40 relocation. It's just a place to store it until they decide where to truck it off.

Honestly I'm pretty sure John is right on this one. It's just a temporary storage site, although perhaps the dirt will be used eventually for the I-40 interchange.

I'm seriously considering a game of "king of the hill" -- it's a big pile of dirt. It'll be fun. Let me know if you're interested, I'm the reigning champ.

**thanks for the help all !

That's probably what it will end up being used for, as that land (I think) is a federal/state/railroad easement, and the most logical storage site until it can be moved for the new 40/35/235 interchange.
