Plans have started to become more than just what's on paper. There is still much more that needs to be done, but a good start is happining. It's still a matter of time & MONEY! Is Bricktown the place for such a venue or has it become cost prohibitive? Also will the Bricktown Association be too overbearing to allow it? What does the public think? Check out the following thread and lets hear what the people out there think...

Something different? But you CAN flyfish at the Oklahoma Aquarium...

I'd love an aquarium! Something besides rows and rows of restaurants and bars.

I make a couple of visits to the OKC zoo each year - mostly to see the aquarium (okay, the lions too).

I think we need more daytime attractions in Bricktown to add to foot traffic and make it more well rounded. But an aquarium would have to be really unique. I personally was a little disappointed with the Oklahoma Aquarium--not the content, but the design. It seemed very boring and unimaginative. I think it's possible we can top it, but I also don't like the idea that they have a Dallas World Aquarium in the West End. We already stole San Antonio's Riverwalk. Let's at least choose another state to steal from this time. LOL
