Thumbs up Crest Foods in Edmond

I just love this store. I've finally found a decent grocery store that has prices very comparable to Wal-Mart! Plus Crest has the service of a grocery store. Sackers, paper sacks, butcher, etc. Nice clean store. Great customer service. Never have to stand in line at the check out. Of course there are things that I'll stilll have to go to Wal-Mart for, but I'm not a loyal Crest shopper!

This is pretty much the ONE thing I miss about Edmond...Crest. When I'm up there on a Sunday for some other reason, I'll do my grocery shopping there. Even though it's a Sunday, it's still very easy to manuever through the aisles and I love love love the in-store butcher. My only complaint? I can never find ground sirloin. Ground beef gives me the willies. But I can get a nice steak at the counter.

Yes, that's my favorite grocery store too.. they have great prices and the service is really good. Plus I live about 5 min from the store so it's convenient too.

The Hefner and Rockwell store is awesome too.

The place is always clean. There are always plenty of cashiers. You can always find help when you need it. The shelves are well stocked with everything I buy.

It is hard to believe the place used to be a grungy Homeland.

Every Crest I have been to has always been pleasant.

The only one I could ever complain on is the one on Reno. The place needs to be a bigger its a pain because the aisle are to narrow. Other than that the place is great.

Target and Crest are my stores I hardly ever go anywhere else these days.

Cheers to the Harroz family!

Crest is always clean and well stocked.

A superstore without the trash factor that every Wal-Mart has.

My wife and I shop Crest in MWC on Douglas, and we have shopped there ever since it was built. We shopped the one on Reno a mile or so away till they built the new one. Some ask why we do not shop at the commissary on TAFB; the answer is that we have always found the bottom-line price to be lower at Crest (Back when we shopped both places.)

Recently, since the two Wal-Mart supercenters were started in MWC and Del City, Crest on Douglas has been refurbishing and expanding; it has been a pain, but not that awful, and it is about completed.

So far, we are happy with Crest.

That's where we shop too, at the Crest on Douglas. I don't care how much trouble it is getting in and out during construction, I refuse to go to that new WalMart Super Store on 23rd. Hey, I heard that you were from McLoud. Were you raised there or what? I was raised there and graduated High School there...just curious if I might know you personally...'course, you are probably much younger than I am.

Grandmama----Did you mean you live near NE 10 and Post close to the MWC Crest, or is that an Edmond-area Post and NW 10? It does not really matter.

I live in Pott County near to McLoud, but I was not born or raised in this area. Age---I am not sure how old I am. LOL But we might be near the same age. I do not consider age to be important on these bulletin boards; it is the content of the messages I consider.

The Wal-Mart on 15th in MWC is open; I needed oil for to change it in the car and pickups, so I checked Sams, but Sams did not have the weights my vehicles called for, so I went to Wal-mare. (Note: I means wife and me.) Would you believe oil at the new Wal-Mart was 25 cents per quart cheaper than Sams?

I am looking forward to the Wal-Mart on Douglas to open. I probably won't be a regular shopper there though since the one at 15th and Sooner is more central to my stomping ground. LOL Home Depot is right across the street. But I am sure I will continue with Crest for food items except the diet cola I drink gallons of.

Speaking of stomping grounds: I am thinking of changing my career to become a home builder. I checked out the Nicoma Park lumber yard the other day, and I was very impressed with the employees there and that the store offered such amenities that it did, so my stomping grounds might change if I go thru with this career change and select Nicoma Park Lumber for my supplier. By the way, I love to build. Not to mention the land we own and I am so danged tired of having to go brush hog it all summer long.

What time frame did you leave the McLoud area?

Hope that last post is not considered hijacking the thread, so I will now say: "Back to topic" just in case.
