I have personal experience with this. My wife's transmission started leaking and I took it to Christian Brother's Automotive (Hefner just east of Rockwell). They did a great job and it hasn't leaked since. I highly recommend them if its a convenient location for you.

Cottman's is a big joke, and a rip off. I went there once with my truck to see what was wrong with it, I already had an idea it was soemthing electronic, they test drove came back and see it needed rebuilt cause there was clutch material in the fluid. BS I check the fluid before I went over there and I know well enough about vehicles and did not see anything to that matter. The they want to charge 150 just to take the thing out pull iut apart to even see if it needs rebuilt. Find a better shop then them. If you want and can drive go to jennings and king on sooner road, just north of I think its tecumsha on right hand side on sooner. There along with the big firework stores he is in there good guy and I am takeing mine there to have it rebuilt in the next week or two.

I was able to make it to my parent's house and that was it. It would not go forward or backward. The Monday after Christmas, I called AAA and they towed my 2000 Chevy S-10 from north Edmond to south OKC, and it didn't cost me a thing. I am a firm believer in AAA (shameless plug). Anyway, I had it towed to Coker's transmissions on SW.29th St, just west of S. Agnew. These men showed true professionalism when I explained the problem. I was without my truck for three days, but that was it. When I picked up my truck, they told me that they would guarantee the work for six months. After six months, if I would bring it by their shop, they would service my transmission for only $99, and extend my warranty for another six months. Again, once that six months was up, I could bring it back in and have them service my transmission for $99, and extend the warranty another six months....and then that would be it. I had it serviced last December, so I have it guaranteed until June, 2006. I have not had any kind of problems with it, and it drives and shifts like it did before the transmission went out. I would highly recommend Coker's Transmissions. |
