My husband and I decided to try Da' Boat in Bricktown before we caught a movie at Harkins. The food and service were HORRIBLE. It took forever to get our order and the place wasn't busy at all. The waitress took forever to refill our drinks and then she screwed up our ticket and we had to wait 5 more minutes to get it. The restaurant smelled really bad. It smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and it kind of upset my stomach. I have no intentions on ever going back to that place.
I was thoroughly disappointed.

Is this the same as Da' Boat in Tulsa at the plaza at 81st and Lewis? Owned by the same people that owned S&J's for so long on Brookside? The husband was shot in that bank robbery last year at Utica.

Da' Boat is a great little place here if it's the same thing. As much a happy hour bar as a dinner place, but still really good.

I think it is the same place as the one in Tulsa. Maybe we just went on a bad night. I wasn't impressed with the food though. I had the caribbean jerk chicken sandwich and the chicken was really rubbery and hard to chew. My husband had the catfish po'boy. He thought it tasted pretty good. I think I would have been happier choosing that as well.

I can't tell you how many times, I haven't really been happy about my food choice and the waitress walks by and says' How is everything?" and I smile and say "Good, fine.." LOL when I really want to say " it tastes like the bottom of my rubber tennis shoe ( not that I've ever tasted the bottom of my shoe) - I think I've had too much caffeine this morning!

Anyway, you get my drift, welcome to the board!
