I thought you were in IT. Perhaps you need to take a refresher course on the Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA). If your software has anything on it which gets around Digital Rights Management (DRM) (, e.g., cracked computer games or MS Office with serial numbers you got from an IRC group, then you're sunk.
Further, evidence of actual criminal conspiracy is illegal as well.

ICE would most likely be looking for matches to certain other phone numbers known to be used by the bad guys. That alone could be shared with other governmental entities and lead to solving crimes.
