On the other hand, McCain sides with Bush over 90% of the time (Congressional Record), and Bush's response to the crisis was to stay in Beijing hanging out with the female beach volleyball players and watching basketball for several days. But it's okay, because GWB "looked into his (Putin's) eyes and saw his soul" or some such nonsense a few years ago, so there was nothing to worry about Re: Russia.
