Why do we care?

I mean, it's in the past. It's done with. As I stated in another board I frequent, if we asterik McGuire's home runs, we might as well asterik Maris's 61 because he didn't do it in a 138 game season like Babe Ruth. For that matter why not asterik Ruth's records because he didn't have to contend with Black, Hispanic or Asian pitchers when he played? I'm sure Josh Gibson and the rest of the old Negro Leagues would've liked that....

I say let it go. Let's focus on the present and future by making stiffer drug policies in MLB. If players have a problem with that, then they don't have to play. Also, why is Congress worrying about only baseball? Why not go after the NFL as well? Didn't some of those players take "performance enhancers"? It seems like a waste of time really.
