Poor planning and no thought given to "what if" scenarios such as labor and material increases on a project with a long time completion horizon. Now Mayor Mick says we will worry about that when the money runs out. Typical. Hello Mr. Taxpayer this is your chance to make OKC a "Big League City". Yeah, we screwed up the planning with our typical mode of operation, But, you have a chance to extend the Ford Center tax and our poor planning will disappear. Taxpayers will catch on to this scam sooner or later.
You think the increases in prices of materials over the last few years haven't surprised anyone but poor, stupid Oklahoma City? That's ridiculous. Projects all over the country have been delayed, cancelled, and scaled back because of it. But of course you have a CONSTANT negative attitude about everything.

And George Bush is not my president. I don't begin to know what that was insenuating. I do not need you to tell me the condition of the NPS. I'm a member of the National Parks Conservation Association. But perhaps you forget that Dubya is leaving office in less than a year. McCain or Obama--either way we'll have better funding for NPS.

Pete, I definitely agree there should be a Land Run museum there, national designation or not. I say put it right on top of that blasted surface parking.
