We have a half dozen full grown Great Danes that eat pretty much anything. They like pieces of the house, cars, bones, tires, wiring, trees, roots, any and all human food, rope, etc. Wood and plastic turn signal lenses are some of their favorites (They love the amber ones, but not the red ones. Really...!) They never eat small animals but have killed some birds and moles they caught by drowning them in slobber. They also like any vegetables, fruits, cheese and hot sauce.

I should probably also mention they like peanut butter. They like peanut butter a lot. They pretty much like peanut butter more than anything else in the world. Peanut butter is the equivalent of dog heroin. They will do ANYTHING for peanut butter! It’s funny to watch their eyes roll back in their heads and see them go into something akin to a drug induced hypnotic state when they eat peanut butter. You can get a Great Dane to balance on his head and break-dance if he thinks he will get a spoonful of Peter Pan.
