Re: OU = Overrated
I wasn't hijacking "your" thread because, although there was an allusion to an event that occurred last week, your cited thread is not the only place it can be referenced and my reference was directly related to your picture which casts aspersions on a collegiate player, something Mike Gundy chastised in "his heroic display of leadership."
While your quoting TOS, try this one for size: "Flame baiting is not allowed. What is 'flame baiting'? It means posting a topic or something with the intention of triggering a flame war, or one that invites flames in reply. It's equivalent to inviting someone to troll." With your history, it is well known that it was your intention to bait OU fans.
Is OU overrated? It's still too early to tell. One game, in which they lost by 3 points, is hardly solid evidence that the team was overrated. It certainly wasn't as indicting as a 41-23 loss to Troy.
OU played poorly. Colorado played well. OU has looked good in the previous four games, albeit to less than stellar opponents. Was a No. 3 ranking justified? Apparently to sportswriters and coaches who actually know something about football, they felt it was. Will there be an adjustment downward in this week's poll? Most likely and justifiably so.
To have an OSU homer try to tell others that OU is overrated is akin to Baghdad Bob's handicapping of the Iraq War.
