I think people here are forgetting something. I am an American because I was born here in the greatest country on earth. I will never lose my citizenship even if I live in another country.

My husband is not an American, he is Canadian. We moved here in 2001. The first step in immigration is to become a Permanent Resident. That means getting your Green Card.

Then after you have lived here as a permanent resident for 3 years its another $675.

I don't know what the answer is regarding the illegal immigrants coming over from Mexico.

How these poor people who want to live here legally can raise that kind of money. Certainly not with the wages they make in their own Country when they have to support themselves and their families.

My great-great grandparents were immigrants from Poland. I have no idea how they got here except they came on a boat.

I'm glad no one shot them.
